Cookies we set
None. The site has no advertising, no tracking pixels and no embedded social widgets. It counts visits without cookies (the privacy policy says how) and stores nothing in your browser's local storage or session storage, unless you open usenook.ai/#nocount to be left out of that count: then it keeps one flag in local storage saying so.
What the site does load from elsewhere
The typefaces — Manrope, DM Sans and JetBrains Mono — are loaded from Google Fonts at fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Your browser makes a request to Google to fetch them, and that request carries what any request carries: your IP address and browser details. Google states that the Fonts service does not set cookies; its Fonts privacy FAQ has the detail. Everything else on the site — the film, the images, the scripts — is served from this site itself. Each page also sends one count of the visit to our own server at api.usenook.ai, and the invite form sends what you type in it there.
The app
The Nook app is not a website and sets no cookies. What it stores, and where, is described in the privacy policy.
Controlling cookies in general
Every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies from its settings, and can be told to refuse third-party cookies altogether. Since this site sets none, doing so will not change anything here.
Changes
If we ever add something that uses cookies, this page will change first and a consent notice will appear where the law requires one. The date at the top tells you when the page last changed.
